DUNKIRK: RENOVATION OF OUTLET CHANNEL

Work will soon begin on Dunkirk's outlet channel, which discharges water from the hinterland, including from the Bergues canal.

Dunkerque-Port, which manages and maintains this structure, is to carry out works to protect the banks, starting on 3 October 2011. Following a policy of sustainable development which integrates the preservation of biodiversity and enhancement of the canals, Dunkerque-Port has drawn up its roadmap in cooperation with the Flanders-Dunkirk Regional Town Planning and Development Agency, Dunkirk Urban Community and the Dunkirk Municipality.
