SUSTAINABILITY MORNINGS

MATINALES DU DÉVELOPPEMENT DURABLE

Nearly 80 people attended the "Sustainability Mornings" organised by Dunkerque-Port at the Pavillon des Maquettes on Wednesday 27 April 2016. 

This edition, on the theme of modal switchover, was an opportunity for the port and its partners to give an in-depth presentation of the issues at stake (environment, safety, reliability) for consolidated transport in a context of energy transition. 

The development of rail and waterway freight is a clearly defined aspect of Dunkerque-Port's 2014-2018 Strategic Plan. The work in progress on starting up waterway shuttles to the inland ports, the opening of rail links to enlarge the hinterland, and the port's support for the Seine North Europe Canal project, are all illustrations of this policy.
