DANIEL DESCHODT, CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER, APPOINTED TO DUNKERQUE-PORT'S EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Board of Trustees of Dunkerque-Port which met on Friday 10 June 2016 appointed 48-year-old Daniel Deschodt, the Port's CCO, as a member of the Executive Board (*). He will hold this office alongside Stéphane Raison, CEO and Executive Board Chair, and Yves Lalaut, Planning and Environment Director.

Initially Deputy Commercial Director of the Port of Dunkirk Authority (now Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque), and then its CCO since February 2009, Daniel Deschodt is responsible for sales prospecting, marketing and inland transports, communications and public relations, as well as logistic and industrial developments. He had previously held the position of Commercial Director of Dunkirk's Container Terminal (now called the Terminal des Flandres) between 2000 and 2006, while also acting as Deputy General Director of the terminal's administrative management structure.

Since 2010 Daniel Deschodt has also been an honorary Consul of the United Kingdom.

(*) The Major Sea Ports are each managed by an executive board under the supervision of a board of trustees, to separate the tasks of oversight and management.
