Danzigergracht

The conventional ship M/V DANZIGERGRACHT is in port at Freycinet 13 to load public works equipment for the construction of a 450-km gas pipeline.

SPIECAPAG, a subsidiary of the ENTREPOSE Contracting Group, and whose equipment depot and maintenance centre is based in Dunkirk, is specialised in overland pipeline projects and oil pumping and storage infrastructures. During this loading operation SPIECAPAG is shipping 71 items of machinery and public works equipment, plus 81 containers of materials. The cargo will total 2,000 tonnes with a volume of 7,800 m3, and will occupy one-third of the ship's capacity.

The equipment will then be transported to a worksite in Papua New Guinea for EXXON MOBIL.

After leaving Dunkirk, the M/V DANZIGERGRACHT will take approximately 50 days to reach the southern hemisphere via the Panama Canal. The transit has been assigned to VOPAK AMT. Handling operations will be carried out by DEWULF CAILLERET.

On this occasion the medal of Dunkerque-Port was awarded to the Master of the vessel during a reception organised by SPIECAPAG, attended by Jean-Claude Van de Wiele, General Director of SPIECAPAG, and Jean-Michel Gallois, General Director of VOPAK AMT.
