From 10 June 2012, the date of the inaugural call at Dunkirk, the maritime transport group CMA CGM will include Dunkirk (after Antwerp and before Le Havre) in the rotations of its EPIC (Europe Pakistan India Consortium) service.


The rotation of this weekly service, on fixed days, provided by 8 ships with a nominal capacity of 5500 TEU, comprises the ports of Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Dunkirk, Le Havre, Port Said, Khor Al Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Malta and Tanger Med. 

Christine Cabau Woehrel, Chair of Dunkerque-Port's Executive Committee, expressed her satisfaction at this announcement and her "sincere thanks to CMA CGM for this new sign of their policy of development at Dunkirk on the high-potential markets of the Indian sub-continent, the Arab Gulf and the Mediterranean". She stressed that this new service "will make it possible to meet the needs and expectations of clients in the Nord-Pas de Calais, the Belgian border area and the Paris region more effectively".

For his part, Nicolas Sartini, Central Director of CMA CGM lines, considers that "this EPIC service will be an excellent complement to the FAL 7 service, at import from the Indian subcontinent and at export to the Mediterranean, the Arab Gulf and India and Pakistan".
