Following this installation meeting, François Soulet de Brugière spoke of his satisfaction and his ambitions for Dunkerque-Port: «The port is doing well, even though some bulk handling lines are under significant threat, and though the growth of the container sector still requires just as much energy. My goal is to support the port community as a whole so that our activities maintain steady progress, promoting employment and the redistribution of wealth. You also know that I am strongly in favour of more concerted action with the other ports of the Côte d’Opale and the inland ports of the Nord-Pas de Calais region. And last but not least, this position will allow me to continue my work within the French Seaports Association of which I am Deputy Chair.»
