    SNF PLANT BREAKS GROUND IN DUNKERQUE-PORT

    In March 2018, SNF, the international French chemicals company, announced its decision to set up a new production unit in the Port of Dunkerque. And, on Wednesday, June 9, the worksite for the new plant officially broke ground, in the presence in particular of Emmanuelle Verger, President of the Supervisory Board of Dunkerque-Port, Pascal Rémy, President and CEO of SNF, Patrice Vergriete, President of the Dunkerque Metropolitan Authority and Bertrand Ringot, Mayor of Gravelines.

    MAURICE GEORGES IS APPOINTED CHAIR OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DUNKERQUE-PORT

    Maurice GEORGES, 55, a senior engineer in the French Corps of Bridges, Waters and Forests (IPEF), has been appointed Chair of the Executive Board of the Major Seaport of Dunkerque (GPMD) by decree of the President of the French Republic, dated 3 June 2021.

    A FOURTH FERRY EXPANDS THE DUNKERQUE-ROSSLARE LINE

    On Friday 9 April, the MV “Ark Dania”, owned by the Danish company DFDS SEAWAYS, made its first port call to Dunkerque-Port en route from Rosslare (Ireland). The RoRo-type vessel has a large capacity (190 freight units including 12 cabins and 400 places for the transport of new cars). It will call at Dunkerque every Friday and Tuesday and will help develop the traffic of unaccompanied trailers.

    DUNKERQUE-PORT: A SINGLE BORDER CHECKPOINT TO SIMPLIFY CONTROLS

    On Thursday, March 25, Daniel Deschodt, Interim Chairman of the Executive Board of Dunkerque-Port, officially handed over the keys of the new Single Border Checkpoint (PCUF) to Xavier-Yves Valère, General Delegate for Development of the Northern Corridor with the Interport and Logistics Council for the Northern Corridor. The ceremony took place in the presence of Hervé Tourmente, sub-prefect of the district of Dunkerque and Luc Fleureau, Head of the Dunkerque Animal and Plant Health Border Inspection service (SIVEP) and representing the Regional Directorate for Food, Agriculture and Forestry (DRAAF).
