The new Border Inspection Post of the SIVEP (Animal and Plant Health Border Inspection Service), in the Western Port of Dunkirk, was officially opened on Friday 9 October 2015 in the presence of many public figures, including Henri Jean, Sub-Prefect of Dunkirk, Adeline Croyere, Director of the Central SIVEP, Patrice Vergriete, Mayor of Dunkirk and President of Dunkirk Urban Community, François Soulet de Brugière, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dunkerque-Port, Philippe Bertonèche, Chairman of the Development Board at Dunkerque-Port and Dunkerque-Port's CEO Stéphane Raison.
Thursday 24 September 2015 saw the latest edition of the «Sustainability Mornings» organised by Dunkerque-Port. These events are an opportunity for the Port to discuss, with the hundred or so partners attending, its different actions in the field of sustainable development.
Dunkerque-Port will begin maintenance work on «Pont de la Centrale» in Gravelines, on 7 September.
Traffic at Dunkerque-Port has been making a steady recovery since February 2015. The total to the end of June, up 1%, has now exceeded the 2014 traffic figure and reached 23.37 MT.
The Norwegian cruise ship «MV GANN», 108.55 metres long and 16.52 metres broad, called at the Port of Dunkirk on Friday 3 July.
