DUNKERQUE LOGISTIQUE INTERNATIONALE (DLI): FIRST TURNKEY PORT LOGISTICS ZONE TO OBTAIN “CHOOSE FRANCE” ACCREDITATION
    27th september 2021

In January 2020, the French government disclosed the names of twelve turnkey industrial sites with “Choose France” accreditation (sites that can host industrial activities and for which the administrative procedures concerning urban planning, rescue archaeology and the environment have been carried out in advance in order to make the sites available immediately or in the short-term for the investor). Among these sites was the Zone Grandes Industries (ZGI) development platform of Dunkerque-Port, the first port in France to be accredited. It is a great success, with nearly half of the 160 hectares in the area already marketed.

DUNKERQUE-PORT: CREATION OF THE NEW RORO6 CROSS-CHANNEL LOADING RAMP, A PROJECT THAT HAS RECEIVED EUROPEAN BACKING
    20th september 2021

The port of Dunkerque currently has two loading ramps dedicated to cross-Channel traffic with Dover (RORO1 and RORO3). Today managed by the DFDS company with three ships, representing twelve port calls per day, the traffic is particularly important not only for the port, but for the Hauts-de-France region as a whole and even on a European scale, since the port of Dunkerque is recognised as one of the nodes of the “North Sea - Mediterranean Corridor” of the European transport policy.

DUNKIRK: INAUGURATION OF AN ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION BUILT "IN ADVANCE" OF THE FUTURE NEEDS OF THE INDUSTRIAL AND PORT AREA
    10th september 2021

On Friday, September 10, Enedis, RTE, Dunkerque-Port and the Metropolitan Authority of Dunkerque inaugurated an electrical substation in the port of Dunkerque. For the first time in France, a substation has been built in advance of the electricity needs of future manufacturers wishing to set up in a development area. This means new businesses will have faster access to the network, promoting the attractiveness of the industrial and port area, and thus the economic development of the entire region surrounding Dunkerque.
