DAVID LEFRANC JOINS DUNKERQUE-PORT'S "DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENT" DIVISION

After graduating as an engineer from the National School of Industrial Engineering and Mines of Douai in 1999, David Lefranc began his career with the Regional Directorate of Industry, Research and the Environment (DRIRE) of Lorraine as the head of a subdivision in charge of the East of the Moselle département, within the group of subdivisions for Forbach (1999 to 2002).

From 2002 to 2006, he was in charge of the industrial development of the Dunkerque and Saint Omer boroughs for the Regional Directorate of Industry, Research and the Environment for the Nord-Pas de Calais region. 

From 2006 to 2009 he worked as an inspector of classified installations specializing in technological risks in Gravelines (DRIRE Nord-Pas de Calais). In this context, he was in charge of monitoring SEVESO sites including the ArcelorMittal platform in Dunkerque and took part in the administrative authorization to operate certain industrial sites such as the Dunkerque LNG terminal.

From 2009 to 2012 he joined the Regional Directorate for the Environment, Development and Housing (DREAL) for the Nord-Pas de Calais region in Lille, as Deputy Head of the Regional Unit in charge of the team responsible for examining the operating permits for industrial sites, for Regional Planning and the redevelopment of brownfield sites.

Finally, since July 2012, David Lefranc had been Head of the Departmental Unit for the coastline with the Regional Directorate for the Environment, Development and Housing of the Hauts-de-France region, based in Gravelines.

In Dunkerque-Port's "Development and Environment" divison, David Lefranc will be in charge of the planning, studies and supervision of Port Development works, partnering with various external parties, implementing environmental policy, managing industrial risks and the CAP 2020 container development project in the western port of Dunkerque.
