The arrival, this morning, of the liner “Costa Voyager” marked the start of the 2012 cruise season at Dunkirk.
On 29 and 30 May Dunkerque-Port will host a two-day Symposium, the first day devoted to dredging and the second to biodiversity. Ten years after holding the first technical Symposium on dredging, Dunkerque-Port is repeating the experience, this year adding a biodiversity day.
From 10 May to 15 June 2012, an itinerant photo exhibition dedicated to the Port of Dunkirk will be on display in the Namur Arsenal (Salle Mazarin). The event is taking place in collaboration with the Port Authority and the City of Namur, in the context of the partnerships between the ports and their excellent commercial and industrial relations.
From 10 June 2012, the date of the inaugural call at Dunkirk, the maritime transport group CMA CGM will include Dunkirk (after Antwerp and before Le Havre) in the rotations of its EPIC (Europe Pakistan India Consortium) service.
After a slow month of February, the figures for March are again encouraging. Total traffic to the end of March was up 2% over last year.
